Niagara Memorial Park is located in the quaint town of Lewiston, New York and was originally deeded from Dewolfe Realty in 1928 and dedicated the following year. Today Niagara Memorial is the resting place for over five thousand families and is open to all religious faiths.

Keith Kuehlewind

President

Keith K. Kuehlewind was a successful pre-need Memorial counselor and Pre Need Sales Manager for a Western New York cemetery from 1982 through 1990. Since 1990 Keith has been successful in various business ventures, his marketing and family services talents is the driving force for the new "Garden" developments at Niagara Memorial Park.

Michael E. Ellman

Vice President

Mr. Ellman has over 25 years of experience as a cemeterian in Western New York. Mike became the President of Niagara Memorial Park in August 2001 Mr. Ellman has extensive experience in working with local funeral directors and lot owners to assist them with their funeral arrangements.

Cephas Hall

Grounds Supervisor

Cephas Hall brings 20 years in cemetery maintenance experience to the position as grounds supervisor at Memorial Park. He began as a part time grounds worker and through hard work and dedication to the families of Memorial Park, was promoted to Grounds Supervisor.

Mr. Hall recently brought on Michael Benden to work with him on the grounds. He has 8 years experience in cemetery maintenance and has proven to be an asset to the cemetery.

Rules & Regulations

  • All lots in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery are sold in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of New York and shall not be used for any other purposes except as a burial place for dead human beings.
  • No interment shall be allowed without permission being first obtained from the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Association.
  • Lot owners are prohibited from allowing interments to be made on their lots for compensation.
  • Interments in a lot are restricted to those entitled to burial therein according to the terms of Section 1512 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law. The lot owner(s) must file for permission for burial of those not entitled to burial according to said Section, with Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Association.
  • Except as provided for in Section 1513C of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law, no lot owner may transfer his or her lot.
  • The full purchase price must be paid before a deed is given or burial is allowed on the lot.
  • Funerals must be at the cemetery by 3:00 PM for the workmen to have sufficient time to properly close the grave and remove equipment before 4:00 PM.
  • All funerals, processions and vehicles will be under the control of the Superintendent while in the cemetery.
  • Memorials will be constructed of bronze only, of a quality and construction approved by the Board of Directors.
  • All bronze memorials will be installed flush with the ground.
  • Placing of glass blocks or vases as receptacles for flowers, either artificial or grown, on graves or plots, is prohibited.
  • No borders of any kind will be allowed around memorials or graves.
  • All foundations will be constructed by or under the direction of the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Association.
  • All work done in the cemetery shall be done by cemetery employees, or under the control of, or with the permission of the Superintendent or Board of Directors.
  • All persons shall be allowed access to the cemetery during daylight hours, observing the rules which are in effect, and with the propriety due the cemetery.
  • Disinterment will be allowed between June 1st and October 1st in compliance with the provisions of Section 1510(e) of the Not-for-Profit Corporation Law.
  • Cemetery Board Directives 201.8 and 201.12 will govern interments on Sundays and holidays.
  • Cremated remains will not be permitted to be scattered in any part of the cemetery.
  • Concrete vaults or concrete grave liners will be required for interments in all graves purchased on or after January 1, 1990 in accordance with the provisions of Cemetery Board Directive 201.6.
  • The interment of cremated remains will be permitted only in appropriate rigid receptacles such as wood, metal, plastic or concrete.
  • Only one human remains or two cremated remains will be permitted in each grave.
  • The Directors of the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Association may amend these rules and regulations, but no such amendments shall be effective until approved by the New York State Cemetery Board.


Hours of Operations

Niagara Memorial Park is open every day through out the year for our lot owners to vist the grounds.

The office staff is available from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday.
